This custom kitchen features sleek, modern cabinetry designed for both style and function. The cabinet fronts are crafted from 3/4” MDF slab doors and finished with a durable conversion varnish for a smooth, long-lasting surface.
The kitchen island, tall end cabinets, soffit, and custom range hood cover showcase MDF-core walnut panels with a horizontal grain sequence match, sealed with a clear conversion varnish to highlight the natural beauty of the wood. The island’s perimeter is seamlessly integrated with the design, ensuring a cohesive and elegant aesthetic.
In the living room, the custom-built TV frame and side cabinet continue the horizontal grain walnut theme, maintaining visual continuity between spaces. Due to its height, the TV frame required precision veneer splicing to achieve a flawless finish.
One unique challenge was the custom range hood design, which did not allow for a traditional access panel. To maintain functionality, the panel was made removable while keeping the aesthetic intact. Additionally, a custom cat door was seamlessly incorporated into the right-end cabinet, allowing the homeowner’s cat to access the outdoors without disrupting the clean lines of the cabinetry.
This project is a perfect example of modern, high-end custom cabinetry, blending precision craftsmanship with thoughtful, client-specific details.
