  • Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the client
  • Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges and side panels, always using blueprints or design plans for reference
  • Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions
  • Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles
  • Match materials for color, grain and texture to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units
  • Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work, including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools
  • Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials
  • Assist in continuing to grow the entrepreneurial spirit the company is founded on

 

your skills and qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in high-end custom cabinetry manufacture
  • Proficiency of mathematics, techniques, skills, and processes involved in woodworking, fabrication and finishing
  • Ability to build from technical drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills — able to explain things, convey messages, ask relevant questions, and avoid or resolve conflicts effectively
  • Ability to work independently and, alternatively, follow instructions
  • Ability to adapt to changes in workflow
  • Ability to lift 50lbs; generally the job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking and 45% standing
  • Properly and safely use and maintain shop equipment

We have an immediate need for a CNC Operator/Programmer with a strong background in carpentry/cabinetry and woodworking and experience with CNC millwork machines to join a cabinetry and wood product manufacturing firm in Zebulon, North Carolina.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Prior background in carpentry and woodworking required, must be familiar with typical millwork/cabinet manufacturing processes
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating and programming with CNC millwork machines, specifically Weeke.
  • Very good knowledge of Cabinet Vision
  • Candidate must have commercial cabinet manufacturing experience, be able to interpret architectural drawings and have the ability to use that information to produce detailed shop drawings for submittals and cabinet production.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills — able to explain things, convey messages, ask relevant questions, and avoid or resolve conflicts effectively
  • Ability to work independently and, alternatively, follow instructions
